Rites of Passage
Rites of Passage Ceremonies are a huge passion of mine and I feel they are something that is so needed in these modern times. As well as Womb Blessings and Womb Healings I also offer Menarche Ceremonies, Mother Blessings and Closing Ceremonies to help women honour and celebrate these sacred and important life transitions.
Mother's Blessings
A Mother's Blessing is a beautiful alternative to a baby shower. We gather together in circle to honour a woman's transition from Maiden to Mother. These ceremonies can be completely tailored to the mama but usually include the following:
- creating a labour mala together - each member of the circle brings a bead, charm or totem to thread on to a piece of string. As each bead is placed on the string a prayer, blessing or poem is spoken aloud. This mala can then be taken into labour to help the mother on her journey.
- I can also do an anointing ceremony which marks this transition into motherhood. This is a short ceremony where I anoint the mother with sacred (pregnancy friendly) oil and prayer.
- Blessing of labour candles - within the circle, we also bless candles that each member will take home and light when the mother goes into labour
- I can also handpaint a beautiful keepsake book for the mama to keep all the messages, prayers and blessings in. This book can also be used for the closing ceremony too.
- food and drink is shared, songs can be sung. The mother is pampered with massage and if she chooses can be adorned with a flower crown and have her belly painted.
These ceremonies can be very bespoke and we can discuss options and prices but to give an idea, ceremonies cost between £150.00-£300.00.

Sacred Postpartum Closing Ceremony
The transition from maiden into mother is a huge transformation and one that can often go unacknowledged in the modern day. This ceremony helps new mothers to let go of their maiden self and step into their power as a mother. This ceremony is beautifully crafted to nurture and nourish the new mother and to heal and seal the birth process.
This can be performed as 1:1 ceremony which can include some or all of the following:
- ceremonial bathing - usually done with a hand or foot bath
- full body massage with warming and supportive oils
- sacred tuck in - pieces of fabric are wrapped around the mother's body at different points and blessings are said at each point
These 1:1 sessions can be tailored to the individual and prices can be discussed. To give a rough idea 1:1 ceremonies begin at £90.00.
Closing ceremonies can also be done as an intimate circle of women. The group of women work together to close the mother and honour her in her transition. Sacred Menarche Ceremonies
Sacred Menarche Ceremonies help young girls welcome in their first blood without the shame and confusion that is so often present in this transition. I trained with Sacred Menarche to become a facilitator of Menarche ceremonies. In these ceremonies, an intimate circle of women gather together to support the young maiden in her transition into womanhood. Everyone is there to support, guide and bless the maiden and we do this by ceremony, ritual, song, craft and blessings.
Womb Blessing Circles and Attunements
I am a certified Moon Mother® with The Worldwide Womb Blessing® and offer Womb Blessing Attunements®, Womb Healings® and can host Womb Blessing circles and Full Moon Womb Meditation Circles.
Womb Blessing Attunement®
Female energy awakening
60 minutes £45
The Womb Blessing® path is a beautiful, gentle but powerful system of female energy awakening, transformation and healing. A Womb Blessing Attunement® is a combination of the energy activation and energy channelling techniques which are designed especially for women to:
- Awaken deeper awareness of the Divine Feminine within women and in their lives
- Awaken repressed and dormant aspects of their four female archetypes, releasing their authentic female nature.
- Awaken increasing understanding in women of their femininity and their path in life and give them the courage to express their authentic female nature.
- Awaken, energise and heal the three main female energy centres.
- Clear old patterns and blocks.
- Heal the deep patterns of women's ancestry and past.
- Energise the Womb energy centre
Each Womb Blessing® builds on the previous one, making the Womb Blessing a path of self-development and spiritual development and an awakening of our authentic female nature.
In a Womb Blessing Attunement®, the client sits in a chair fully clothed whilst the Moon Mother works in much the same way as a Reiki healer, placing hands above or near energy centres. We allow 60 minutes for treatment time but not all of this time will involve being sat in the chair receiving treatment.
Womb Healing®
Female energy balancing
45 minutes £35
A womb healing is a supportive experience, designed to replenish energy levels, and gently clear blocks in aspects of the four archetypes that are already awake in a woman's life. The healing helps to create a balanced and harmonious flow of energy through the energy centres and through the archetypes. In a womb healing, the client lies down fully clothed and underneath a blanket as the Moon Mother works in much the same way as a Reiki healer, placing hands above energy centres.
